Most Annoying Couples…

September 2nd, 2008

Yes, it’s that time of year again when BBC3 turns it’s eye to the things that drive us potty and this time it’s The Most Annoying Couples. Have a look at Episode 1 (available on-line til 7th Sept) where I’ll be chipping in my tuppence worth with the best of them.

But don’t worry, knowing BBC Trois, it’ll be repeated…. and repeated and…. repeated….

Funny Cuts: The Andi O Show

August 26th, 2008

E4 have commissioned 10 fifteen minute comedy showcases which will be broadcast throughout August. Each “Funny Cut” is made by a different comic, using their own unique brand of humour. They’ll all be very different and very good. My offering will be a mixture of sketches and stand up and you can see it on:

THURSDAY 28TH AUGUST

E4 AT 23.20

The Andi O Show

part of a Funny Cuts double bill.

After this, you’ll be able to view all ten Funny Cuts on-line and vote for your favourite one. The one with the most votes… gets a series… yes, it’s that easy these days!

Reading Festival

August 26th, 2008

I got a call asking if I’d like to perform at the Reading Festival. Why not, I thought.
Ha! I had no idea of the scale of this thing.

I traipsed behind a crowd of thousands of people from the station and soon realised it was…. Reading… the Reading Festival… this meant the comedy tent would be… massive…

And it was. What an experience to perform for such a big crowd. It’s like nothing I’ve ever done. For one, you have to get yourself heard over Metallica and two, you have to keep the crowd’s attention coz they can just wonder off if they don’t like what you’re doing. Apart from a couple of guys who really looked like they needed the toilet, I think I managed both these feats. Job done!

It was a bonkers afternoon but at least if I get invited to something like this again, I’ll know what to expect.

Come on, Cheltenham and Gloucester Book Festival, I’m ready!

Tonightly finishes

June 27th, 2008

Alas, the first series of Tonightly has now finished.

As with all new shows, it took Tonightly a couple of stabs to get it right but by the middle of the second week, we were flying.

And that’s due to all the people that work so hard on the show. You wouldn’t believe the amount of effort it takes to put it together. It’s like putting on the news every day with the added complication of having to make it funny. We can definitely say we were funnier than the news.

A big thank you to everyone that supported Tonightly and I’ll keep you posted on news of second series!
